Let’s keep your Kids
Cafe going and growing! As your sponsoring organization, Harvest Hope has a
responsibility to support you and to make sure that children in your
community are getting great Kids Cafe service. We designed this online
resource to serve you better. On the following pages you will find step-by-step guidelines
for all required operating procedures. Please make sure that all of the
staff and volunteers at your site are trained to follow these simple
procedures. You will also find sample materials and other resources to
help you grow your program. We encourage you to send us great ideas that
have worked for your site. Even better, use the online director forum to
share with all Harvest Hope Kids Cafes. The Harvest Hope Kids Cafe Coordinator will visit your site
at least 3 times per year. We always look forward to seeing all of the
wonderful things our Kids Cafes are doing! We’ve included a copy of our
site monitoring form so you’ll know exactly what we’re looking for
when we come. Finally, we have included information about our BackPack
Program, a great program that enables you to provide backpacks packed with
nutritious, child-friendly food for your children to take home over the
weekends. Most Kids Cafe sites are eligible to add a BackPack Program. Operating
