Harvest Hope Food Bank

HIS Radio Summer Food Drive at Chick-fil-a on Woodruff Road going on now until 1:30 pm. Donate non-perishable food or new school supplies for those in need in the Upstate community.

On Tuesday morning children from five different Children’s World Day Care centers packed a school bus with 1,500 pounds of food they collected throughout July. The month-long food drive was sponsored by Global Education Fund Inc., who coordinated the efforts of the five Children’s World day care sites in Columbia. Each center engaged in friendly competition to see who could collect the most food and the Children’s World Center in Lexington took first place. Harvest Hope and Bi-Lo Charities teamed up to celebrate the grand reopening of the Mauldin Bi-Lo store and raise awareness about hunger in South Carolina. Bi-Lo will be collecting food for the Summer Hunger Relief Food Drive through August 23.

Volunteers from Enterprise Rent-a-Car helped out in the Greenville Warehouse on Thursday. They sorted donations and packed food boxes for distribution.

Volunteers from Southside Christian Fellowship helped glean squash fields for Harvest Hope and then spent the afternoons helping sort food at the Greenville Branch.
