Job Title: CDL A Driver Supervisor: Transportation Manager Hours: Generally Monday thru Friday from 7:30AM – 3:30PM Position Description: The driver will load, transport and deliver items within Harvest Hope Food Bank’s 20 county service area. This role will interact with many of Harvest Hope’s largest donors. The driver will ensure great customer service to all donors and will perform work in safe, professional and timely manner. Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse setting Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Excellent customer service skills • Perform simple math functions • Have legible handwriting • Operate standard warehouse equipment • Ability to lift a minimum of 30-50 pounds in addition to standing, reaching, bending, stooping and squatting • Valid South Carolina CDL A license Other Desired Characteristics: • Strong communication skills that are effective across a variety of constituencies including donors, volunteers, potential agency members and others to educate about our mission and various services for the purposes of building brand • Deep commitment and passion for the mission of Harvest Hope Food Bank and Feeding America • Must understand that good customer service and good public relations skills are essential to every job • Must have integrity, enthusiasm, perspective, flexibility and a strong work ethic Major Duties: 1. To load, drive and unload trucks in an organized and safe manner 2. Receive donations and complete required paperwork in compliance with set policies and procedures 3. Maintain warehouse coolers and freezers in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with set policies and procedures 4. Count inventory and ensure product rotation to keep oldest product moving out first 5. Interact positively and work well with fellow food bank staff, volunteers, clients and donors 6. Perform regular checks on assigned vehicle for proper water, oil and general maintenance 7. Arrive at all assigned destinations in a safe and timely manner 8. Maintain set safety standards 9. Properly unload and weigh any items 10. All other duties as assigned
