Harvest Hope Food Bank's Emergency Food Pantries

Our Emergency Food Pantries provide those in need with a 5 to 6 day supply of food. Our food package varies depending on donations but usually includes non-perishable and perishable items such as fruit, vegetables, bread, meat, and dried goods. These food packages can provide the basis for balanced and nutritious meals for the families we serve. In addition, we can provide information on other resources available in the community and we assist clients in filling out Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) applications through the SC Benefit Bank.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring with you a photo ID for yourself as well as the Social Security Cards for all members of the household. If you do not have a picture ID, we will accept an ID with your name on it, such as a Medicaid card. We do not discriminate based on immigration status, so we do not require Social Security Cards from illegal immigrants.

How do I get service?

Just come to one of our two EFP’s during operating hours. You do not need an appointment. We serve on a first come first serve basis. 

I am a social worker needing to get food for my client?

Great!  We are glad to help. Please bring with you your work ID. In addition we will need some basic information from your client such as address, names and DOBs of the household members, and total household income.  If possible it is best to bring the client with you on the first visit so that they can fill out all the necessary paperwork and sign a consent form for you to pick up on their behalf however we know this is not always possible. If not we will request either 1.) that you bring a signed statement asking you to pick up on their behalf or 2.) we can call the client and speak to them while you are here. 

Do you deliver?

We are very sorry but at this time we do not have a delivery service. However if you are unable to pickup for yourself you are more than welcome to have someone come on your behalf.   We will need some basic information from you such as address, names and DOBs of the household members, and total household income.  If possible it is best to come in the first visit so that they can fill out all the necessary paperwork and sign a consent form for the other person to pick up on your behalf however we know this is not always possible.  If not we will request that either 1.) you send a signed statement asking them to pick up on your behalf or 2.) we can call you while the pickup person is here.   

SERVICES AT OUR OTHER LOCATIONS:
