Publix Provides Harvest Hope with $100,000 for Technology Upgrades

November 16, 2016

Harvest Hope Food Bank received a $100,000 grant from Publix Charities to allow for upgrades to the food bank’s technology infrastructure. The grant will provide funding to assist in an upgrade of their warehouse inventory system and to their donor relations software.

Last year, Harvest Hope provided more than 27.4 million meals to the hungry across the food bank’s 20 county territory. The food bank sees more than 38,000 people in an average week. After the flooding of 2015 and Hurricane Matthew in 2016, Harvest Hope provided millions of meals to assist those who had been impacted by the disasters.

“We move millions of pounds of product through our warehouses each year to help the needy,” said Denise Holland, CEO of Harvest Hope. “This grant is a blessing in that it will ensure that we are maximizing our resources to allow us to provide as much help to our community as possible.”
