Commodity Supplemental Food Program
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a federal supplemental food program designed to improve the health of senior adults. Each month Harvest Hope distributes boxes of food to over 1200 needy seniors in Richland and Lexington counties. Please Note: The CSFP is in danger of being eliminated from the 2007 budget--please write your state representatives and encourage them to continue funding this important program!
The SCDSS operates the CSFP in accordance with the USDA which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
