USC students constructed various sculptures made out of cans. Total poundage raised 9,050.
The Kraft Mobile Pantry was a great success. In Newberry we were allotted 75 slots. 52 of those 75 showed up to receive their free food package (69%). In Saluda we also had 75 slots and 71 of the 75 showed up for their package (95%).
A food drive was held at four Kroger locations in the Midlands with live coverage from WLTX.
The public was asked to bring non-perishable food items to any participating Chick-fil-A location in Columbia, Lexington, and Sumter. Donors at those locations got a Chick-fil-A food coupon.
A food drive was held at our Lexington Emergency Food Pantry on May 19th. Thank you to those that donated food.
On May 9th Letter Carriers throughout the US have a food drive for their local food banks.
