Luther(pictured right) is committed to Harvest Hope and to our Backpack Program.  Luther, a retired principal, gets food ready weekly for one of our 80+ sites .  Under Danielle's(Child Feeding Coordinator at Harvest Hope) direction, Luther assists in distributing 32,000 meals a week for hungry kids around our state. Graduate student passes the Bar Exam and donates his car to Harvest Hope

Steve Huegel stopped by the other day with a big donation.  He just passed the Bar Exam and became a lawyer at Adams and Reese.  Mr. Huegel donated his CAR to Harvest Hope Food Bank. He was inspired by his former professor Alan Medlin at the University of South Carolina School of Law who would match their donations every year. SC State Fair Donates $100,000 to Harvest Hope

The South Carolina State Fair donated $200,000 to flood relief efforts with the net proceeds from this year’s parking fees. The fair allocated those funds to the Salvation Army and Harvest Hope Food Bank.  Both organizations received $100,000.   Newsboys and Cole Swindell, who performed in the grandstand during this year’s fair, also donated approximately $10,000 to Harvest Hope Food Bank, which was instrumental in providing food for flood victims. Harvest Hope - Serving the Needs of Our Community

Everyone at Harvest Hope Food Bank knows today will be the busiest day of the year. Last year on the Monday before Thanksgiving our Shop Road and 12th Street Emergency Food Pantries provided food for 847 households. Yesterday the lines were long by 7:30 am at our Emergency Food Pantries and we served 888 total households. Help Us Gather Food to Prepare for Our Busiest Week of the Year

Last year Harvest Hope provided food for more than 1,400 households in the 3 days before Thanksgiving at our Shop Road and 12th Street (Cayce) Emergency Food Pantries. This week we are expecting we will see even more struggling families at our doorsteps. This morning our Emergency Food Pantry meat cooler is empty, and our volunteers are sorting through canned goods for hi-protein product to replace meat product for the 250 to 300 families we expect to serve today.
