Harvest Hope Receives a $100,000 Grant from Truist for COVID-19 Relief Efforts

May 1, 2020

Harvest Hope announced today it received a $100,000 grant from the Truist Financial Corporation to aid in its COVID-19 relief efforts in the Upstate and Midlands.

The grant is part of the financial services company’s Truist Cares initiative, a $25 million philanthropic pledge announced in March to support basic needs, medical supplies and financial hardship relief due to COVID-19.

“We are distributing food to thousands of South Carolinians in need each week at Harvest Hope,” says Wendy Broderick, Harvest Hope CEO. “This grant from Truist is going to help ensure that no family has to go hungry during this pandemic.”

“During these challenging times, it is more important than ever that we support those struggling to fulfill basic needs,” said Mike Brenan, South Carolina regional president for Truist. “As many families across our state rely on Harvest Hope for access to nutritious food, Truist is proud to support their efforts to reduce hunger and food insecurity.”
