Jim Hudson Automotive Group Donates 10 Millionth Meal to Harvest Hope

August 22, 2022

To celebrate the 11th annual Hudson 2000 Sales Race event, the Jim Hudson Automotive Group donated another 1 million meals to Harvest Hope Food Bank. This year’s donation marks the 10 million meals donated by the automotive group over the last 11 years.

Each year, the Jim Hudson Automotive Group challenges its employees and customers to sell 2,000 cars during the months of May and June to help fight hunger across the Midlands.

“Each year, the Hudson 2000 Sales Event becomes more successful than the last. I am honored that our determination and teamwork have led us to this incredible milestone today,” said Jim Hudson, CEO and Founder of the Jim Hudson Automotive Group. “Raising the funds needed to feed 1 in 9 South Carolinians who struggle with hunger is an achievement every Jim Hudson employee can be proud of. We only look forward to continuing our impact.”

After a year of hardship for so many faced with inflation, job-loss, and more, this donation is critical in providing Harvest Hope the means to distribute healthy and nutritious meals to those facing hunger in the Midlands.

“Ending hunger is no easy task. It takes our entire community coming together to fundraise, to hold food drives, and to show up to lend a helping hand when our neighbors need it,” said Erinn Rowe, Harvest Hope CEO. “The Jim Hudson Automotive Group does all of this and more, and we are so grateful.”

Both Harvest Hope and the Jim Hudson Automotive Group are looking forward to what comes next in their partnership and how the impact made through this fundraiser can be expanded with donations, awareness, and community involvement. Learn how you can get involved at harvesthope.org.
