Harvest Hope is Asking the Community to Take a Bite Out of Hunger

Harvest Hope Food Bank invites local communities to join them July 18-31 during their annual “Take a Bite Out of Hunger” campaign. To celebrate Shark Week, neighbors can take action and donate to Harvest Hope in support of people facing hunger across South Carolina.
In South Carolina alone, almost 11 percent of residents struggle to put adequate food on their tables. Everyone deserves enough to eat – and with help from community members, Harvest Hope can get food into the hands of those who need it the most.
“As summer is in full swing, and many are getting ready for one of the most exciting weeks on television, we want to encourage our community members to share that excitement with those less fortunate by donating a meal full of protein like tuna or chicken,” says Erinn Rowe, Harvest Hope CEO. “We’ve recently seen a drop in both donations and food drives, and this is a fun opportunity for individuals, families, friends, colleagues, or organizations to come together and take action for your neighbors who need a helping hand.”
Harvest Hope encourages people across the Midlands to Take a Bite Out of Hunger by donating canned or pouched meat proteins such as tuna or chicken.
